Moving Update...

image via i can read

Well, settlement has been pushed back until Wednesday so all going to plan we will have the keys by Wednesday afternoon and our furniture will be delivered Thursday morning.

That means I have 3 days with NOTHING to do! No work (I finished my current job last week-more on that later), no cleaning or packing, nothing to do... Happy Happy Joy Joy!

Tick Tock

image via decoylab on etsy

Confession...I have a bit if a thing for clocks.

I have a collection of vintage wall clocks, large clocks, small clocks, table clocks, cuckoo clocks blah blah blah and yes, most of them have never seen the light of day- I buy them and store them for "later".

I just found this one on etsy that I like for Addison's room in the new house.

What do you think?

We're outta here! (nearly)

image via this is glamorous

Well, the vans all packed (of course it didn't all fit so we have to do some trips ourselves) and then all that's left to do is clean...dang.
Cleaning is bad enough let alone cleaning every square inch of an empty house. This calls for red bulls and loud 80's music, stat!

Some prettiness amongst all the insanity that is moving house...

Some random pretty pink things to take my mind off the bushfires in the hills near our house, missing mortgage documents holding up settlement booking and a messy, unorganised house showered with an embarrassingly large amount of ugly brown packing boxes...

Eek, the truck is coming tomorrow to pick up our life's belongings and hopefully lovingly watch them until we move into the new house on Tuesday...hi ho, hi ho, it's off to work we go!

What happended to Spring?

The forever divine Grace Kelly

We have had some crazy warm weather here over the last few days.

Today it is hotter yet again! It feels like we have skipped spring and moved straight into summer...if only I were on holidays lounging at the beach, sipping cocktails and enjoying a good book rather then working at home surrounded by ugly packing boxes- blah!

Appreciate the beautiful things in your life this weekend.

Flagrante Delicia...yum...

Baileys’ tartelettes

chocolate mousse

Wine and Oil Sablee

Hojarasca con Manjar

mother's day macaroons

I just love this blog filled to the brim with scrumptious sweets and treats all photographed so beautifully. It is such a stylish site and not to mention the author, Leonor de Sousa Bastos, is simply stunning!

I so need to get my baking mojo back. I used to fancy myself as quite the baker but lately because I have been sooo busy I have been baking less and less. This is how bad it is, last time I went to bake scones ( I know- so easy and basic- who stuffs scones up?) they turned out like rock cakes on the outside and raw in the middle! How embarrassment...

I think I will try and get back in to the swing of things once we are in our new house with some goodies from Flagrante Delicia...hmm...what to try first?

Since we realised yesterday that the truck is coming to pick up all our worldly possessions next Thursday (OMG) we have started to go into a panic about how little packing we have actually done. With the help of some redbull I got stuck into it yesterday evening and besides coming face to face with how much of a hoarder I am (OK, I really already knew this), I also came across a prime example of just how indecisive I am.
Case in point- my (non existent) photo wall I started 3.5 years ago.

I absolutely love photo/art cluster walls (images above are some of my inpirations) and when we moved into our current house I had grand plans of filling our massive blank walls with lovely displays clustered in various frames in shades of white, cream and gold. I got as far as filling a small number of frames with photos, kept buying about 100 various frames and that's it. I came across these frames this evening- whoa! I have issues. SO many frames, still unopened, in boxes, SO many different sizes etc.
Note to self- never buy a new photo frame EVER again and first decorating job for the new house- photo/art display and dispose of ALL unnecessary frames.

Tutu-liscious

Here's a few pics of Addison in her party outfit...awww- gotta love a tutu!

I will post more pics and details of what I made for her party when I sort through her party photos, so stay tuned!

And yes, this tutu is "inspired" by the adorable Teapony rocker tutus. I am sure Ms Teapony won't mind as its only for personal use and after all, imitation is the sincerest form of flattery! Truly!!!

Its Tuesday and I can't wait...

...to start reading again.

I have just signed up over at the Meet Me at Mikes Bookclub. First book on the agenda, The Time Travellers Wife. Now I have already read this book about 3 years ago but 2 pregnancies have wiped my memory clean so I am reading it again. All I can basically remember is that he time travels and meets his wife...hmm. Oh and I also remember I found it really disorientating as time travel confuses the hell out of me!

Pop on over here if you want to join in the book club fun!

Neutral Bliss

all images via Real Living magazine

Just when I finally make a decision and think I want to inject some colour into my home I come across a stunning neutral home that makes my heart go all a pitter patter.

I just died and went to heaven when I saw this home featured in Real Living magazine this month.

Where do I start?
The beautiful old Queenslander facade, the panelled walls, the shades of white, taupe, creams etc, the recycled furniture, the vintage style nursery or the fabulous bunk beds?

Be still my heart... I think I am in LOVE.
Now thats why I love a nuetral palette!
STUNNING...
