June Giveaway
It's monthly giveaway time again!
Since Holly Hobbie was so popular on my last giveaway, up for grabs today I have an adorable {Bits & Bubs} tank (size 1) featuring a vintage Holly Hobbie applique and broderie anglaise trim - too cute!
All you have to do is leave me a comment telling me about any indecision or procrastination issues you have (then I won't feel so bad about all mine- and the list is long!). The funniest and/or unique comment will win! Too easy...
Giveaway will close Monday night 12am my time.
Oh, and this giveaway is open to international readers too!
oops, forgot to say closes Monday 29th June- sorry for those who entered after this date!

Coco Avant Chanel
"Fashion passes, style remains" - Coco Chanel
Much fabulousness here I am sure with the film, Coco Avant (Before) Chanel being released at the cinemas today here in Australia.
Isn't gorgeous Audrey Tautou just the perfect choice to portray fashion icon Gabrielle 'Coco' Chanel? Sure to be filled with much glamour and style it details her life from her humble beginnings to the heights of society and I am positive I will leave wishing I lived in that fabulous country and era with any sort of style of my own (sadly mine is non existent).
Somehow I don't think this will be the movie we see this weekend (boys may rather stick pins in there eyes- or my boy anyway).

I was watching the second last episodes of Home Made last night and just love Jason Sullivan's designer eye- the "spaces" (seems to be a popular word for the designers/stylists to use instead of "rooms") he designs have been nearly always fabulous- they ooze classic style and sophistication and are always warm and inviting.
The rooms he designed last night were once again gorgeous. I loved the shades of blue and navy that he used- especially the wall paint- looked fabulous with the white trim. I have always loved blue and white. Loved the dining chairs, loved the styling details loved his rooms!
I am thinking this is really my style at the moment- a bit grown up?, timeless and not too modern- I have never been into full on modern design.
I have been in no mans land trying to work out exactly what my style is (no surprises that I to and fro constantly) and how I want to style our new house (when we find and buy it- minor detail!).
Can't wait to see the house Jason designs next week in the grand final. I am sure it will be stunning as ever- especially since he gets to design the whole house- lucky home owners!

It's Tuesday and I can't wait...
for Friday to roll round...
I am hyperventilating just thinking about it.
We are going away for 2 nights. It's only a short drive away (still on the Gold Coast) BUT it's a beautiful hotel, with a spa, beachfront, ocean views, uninterrupted snoozing, reading, lazing, dining out, going to gold class cinema and most importantly NO KIDS- OMG- Bliss Bliss Bliss Bliss!
It will be my first nights away from Addison but I am so in need of a full nights sleep- and I get 2- so am sure I will cope! I haven't had a full nights sleep since I was around 6 months pregnant with her and she is now 10 months old and she still wakes up twice a night).
(side note: I was the sleep Nazi with Mazie- controlled crying, swaddled in a straight jacket till 6 months old, strict routines, the works. Addison on the other hand is a different story- no routine, no control crying, no swaddling, no surprise why she doesn't sleep...)
Bring on Friday!

Make Me Smile Monday
Love the horizontal stripes-in particular I Love the colour combo of the bright pink and the mossy green.
I dont particularly like the colour combo (not into bumble bees really) but I like the stripes on the roof idea...

Love white and turquoise!

Too cute- just like a circus tent!

Forgive me...I know everyone has seen these rooms over and over again but I just love them.
I am really into stripes at the moment - especially stripes and decor.
Obviously not for the feint hearted but they are so effective and defiantly pack a punch!

What pretty little book spines. Don't they look lovely all lined up in a row? image via sabino
A cozy library... image via weheartit
I have loved books all my life- reading them and re-reading them, the smell of old books, losing yourself in another place and time... I love them also on a visual/decor basis- on bookshelves with all the pretty spines lined up in a row, the covers (yes I am guilty of buying books based purely on their cover) and as decor items.
I especially love collections of vintage books in various displays...lovely

Winter Jammies
Well, there was definitely no indecision's or wasting time on Saturday morning! It's amazing what you can get done with a combination of red bull, an empty house and a sewing machine in just a few hours!
Dad and kiddies were all at football for the morning, so with bubby sleeping I managed to whip up 6 pairs of winter jammies for the girls using up some flannelet, trims and long sleeve T's I have had lying around for ages.
And of course there is nothing cuter then little girls in matching pj's is there?
I made them 3 pairs each- first pair are from a large red love heart print fabric with matching heart applique, the second pair from some pretty pink and green rose print fabric with matching bird applique and lastly a candy strip pair with circle appliques and ric rak trim (balloons, lollipops?).
Not bad for a mornings work!

It's Tuesday and I can't Wait...
...to watch Lipstick Jungle tonight.
Thank God it was put back on after it got axed in Aus after the first season...
I am really loving it at the moment and it never fails to put a smile on my face.
There is seriously a lack of decent shows on, especially chick flick type ones AND especially after the devastating exit of the bees knees of ALL tv shows of ALL time - Sex and the City (yes, I am aware it ended years ago...but I am still in mourning- who agrees it could have gone on for at least 2 more seasons?).
Of course nothing will ever take its place but at least it gives us something girly and fun to enjoy in between re watching Sex and the City episodes on DVD...over and over and over again.
