It's Tuesday and I can't wait...

...to buy a new house!

Hopefully our new house will be a little bigger than this but just as pretty...
oops, not sure where I found this lovely pic from!

The sale of our house is now unconditional...thank God! Now all we need is a house to move into...minor details.

The buyers have been an absolute pain.in.my.arse.

Let me give you the run down...

We went back and forth on price for around 2 weeks, finally settled on a price, then they had the building inspection and emailed our real estate (not through our solicitor mind you) a 1 page list they had typed up themselves of a "list' the building inspector supposedly gave them as to what needed fixing. The list had no structural or actual building issues but random bits and pieces AND they either wanted $10000 dropped off the purchase price or their list of requests fulfilled- thus further negotiating. Excuse me, but if you are buying a house that needs renovations, you renovate it yourself don't you? Not ask the sellers to do so before they sell? Then they needed an extension on their finance approval (which was already an extra long 30 day period).

So you can see why we have been a little apprehensive about seriously looking for a new house.

Of course, there is nothing around that suits us at the moment so it looks like we will be renting until we find our new abode...and that means a double move...how depressing!
update: argh!!! I spoke too soon. The buyers have asked for another extension!!!! Will this ever end?

Give it a few months and a new house, and the torture of selling your house will be a distant memory.

While the one in the photo is beautiful, It might be a bit squishy once you move all your stuff in!

Good luck with the house hunting.

It would bed nice to tell them to go away but of course you would be the ones that lose out. Good Luck with it all. We have just bought our first house so have a move coming up too - aughh!
